Recommended Posts

Hello, i was wondering if anyone uses facegen for oblivion and knows how to over come the custem race problems i am having atm. When asked for the custom race's mod file (.esp file) i can find that but then its asked to type in the custom race's exact name which where i have problems. I tryed a demon race, found the esp file and typed in demon for the name and it worked, i then tryed others and none worked :wallbash: . Can anyone help me?

P.S im new to this fourm so im sure if this goes here, plz move it if it doesn't :thanks:

The custom race name is what you see when you choose race(You can check it by opening plugin with CS, then look at 'Name'). So, if your character is a custom race named Night Elf, you have to enter the name 'Night Elf'(of course, you should choose what plugin you use). The problem is, some race mod has multiple entries with same name: i.e. Ren's Mystic Elves, are all in same name when you choose race. So, unless you edit these race names, the converter may give wrong adjustment.

**Actually, head mesh shape matters. The best result can be gotten by applying it to vanilla head mesh using races. Popular custom head meshes like Ren's or idkrrr's are good for in-game slider tweaking, but not much good for transplanting facegen-created face(At some case, you may get worst result).
