popej
I believe there should be stricter regulation on training in order to level up. Im playing the game through again with both addons and a host of mods. I refuse point blank to pay for training. Having to play properly to get good means you don't end up with a level 50 character after 4 days playing. So far its a much better albeit more drawn out experience Anyone else tried this? Malchik
Yes of course but like much of the MW experience, once you know you can do it, using a quicker approach for future games often increases enjoyment. To some extent it depends on your personal likes and dislikes too. If you want a real challenge there are mods that make levelling up much harder and adversaries far more difficult. Set your difficulty slider to plus 100 and the first part of the game at least becomes a real challenge. Good luck.
Fuzion Shockwave
level 50 character after 4 days playing....Or a level 105 after five days  . Anyway, why regulate? Your character level isn't the most important thing in Morrowind. Either way, you have to work to earn the money in Morrowind, so it's not like you're just getting levels for free. Without training, gold would be nearly useless in Morrowind.
Cheesemonger
Earning the money my leg. I rember how I could go to Dren PLantation, kill of half the Entites there, and get 600k easy. All at about level ten. I suggest the morrowing Enhacned mod, or whatever it is called. Doubles the price of all the Training, and basicly tweaks morrowind. Makes it harder, and smooths it out a bit. Switch
Personally, for some bizarre reason, I've always found the powergaming level-60-in-3-days gameplay style a fun one. I have dabbled with more difficult ways of going about things like Morrowind Enhanced, Adventurers and other things to add more content and make it more difficult. But in the end, manual leveling in Morrowind can take an insanely long time without using any tricks (like athletics and acrobatics power training or letting rats wail on your armour for 30 mins :P). And a low level means getting your ass kicked at every turn. Which I don't find too fun, but to each their own. I did quite enjoy the harder difficulties, but I never made it past level 9 before I started to get sick of it. Also, I agree that you don't really "earn" your money in Morrowind as such. Raiding bandit caves and tombs is so easy and so fast for raking in the cash I wouldn't really call it earning ;)
Reiel
Its hard as heck for me to get moeny in morrowind, but when its really needed, I just use the console for a easy 65K (which is REALYL NEEDED for the tenience arms mod) The training takes way to long, one point after another, so I jsut sue the console. Maybe in Oblivion you can be a worker, actually work and stuff..earn your wages..but thats a different story..
Fuzion Shockwave
Besides, what can be the harm from having one game, in which you don't have to slave over every level? I couldn't stand playing Morrowind without having my spells, like my "Boost" spell, which increases my jump by 15 for 55 seconds. It's just so useful for traveleling long distances when you can't use a silt strider or a boat. Either way, as Switch said, I have fun playing the game when I power-level. It makes the rest of the game more interesting. Morrowind's storyline is great, but if you're low level, it can be simply irritating! When I first played Morrowind, didn't know what the hell to do- and found myself greatly struggling. But each time I play Morrowind, I develop new tricks, cooler spells, and as a result, my levels soar (level 105 in 5 days of playing). I found the storyline to be much more absorbing because of this. Sure, I didn't struggle when I fought 11 Dagoth's in Kogoruhn, but it was a lot less annoying when I had to travel long distances (it takes me 15 seconds to get across the world using my High Jump spell).
