rmm200
Surprisingly, I can't find this covered in the help documentation. I just wanted to upgrade my GPU. One thing led to another, and now I am building a whole new computer. Even new Windows license.Games I can copy over and validate. Save games I can copy over. I would like to preserve my 100 or so Vortex profiles and mod staging folders. I am looking for tips on how to do this. Nothing is at risk - since my old computer will remain intact. Thanks! Solution Pickysaurus Posted November 9, 2022 Solution Share Posted November 9, 2022 This used to get asked at least a couple of times a week so I wrote a guide available in the Knowledge Base: https://modding.wiki/en/vortex/users/migrating-to-a-new-pc
rmm200
Picky you never disappoint. That is absolutely perfect. Can I ask you to add a link to it to "Vortex Help Center, FAQ, Documentation". That would help others. If there is already a link there - just means I am blind. Thanks again! Pickysaurus
In the "Knowledge Base" inside Vortex it's at the bottom of the "General" section.
shar181
Finding this thread just saved me a whole lot of anxiety. I'm about to order my new PC, which I've been putting off for months specifically because I've been dreading the arduous process of reinstalling my massive pile of Skyrim mods and getting them all set up again. This is going to make things so much easier!
