anjenthedog
So, like the title suggests, I'm not sure what it actually means to "refresh content". Not sure if it's a mod's settings, or the active mod files (the ones placed into Roaming from the archive file), or both, or something else, or what. Would someone give me a quick ELI5 explanation so my brain stops hurting? thanks PS> Just for the record, I *have* looked around the net for an explanation but not found anything, or I wouldn't be posting this question... anjenthedog
Ok, so I tried it today. It didn't appear to do anything and didn't display any feedback at all. So vhat gives, aye?
Solution Tannin42 Posted November 14, 2022 Solution Share Posted November 14, 2022 The "Content" column in the mods list shows icon indicating whether the mod contains textures, audio, scripts or whatever."Refresh Content" re-analyses the mod directory to update those icons. If you haven't modified the mod it will do nothing.
anjenthedog
Thank for the clarification Tannin. Much appreciated. I had no idea it referenced and acted on a specific column... and moreover, I guess asking this question just opened my eyes, since I had no idea what that column was for, and as a result, had it disabled in my supreme ignorance... 3 years...lol. Thanks again.

A lot of my mods have no icons under content, or they are missing ones they should have. In particular, I have a lot of mods that load plugins, but they don't have the plugin icon in their content. Is there a way to flag the plugin files so that the correct content icon shows up?
vortexposer
The content column is usually updated often enough that shouldn't be necessary but can rt click mod, select refresh content and it'll display what it registers in staging folder(s), if you've been mucking around with its contents manually, etc. Use same drop-down menu and open in file manager to visually confirm expected content matches up Edited October 30 by vortexposer
