injaku
Atter a profile reaches some critical mass and changes (such as ENB or Obody's change to Racemenu's configs) happen outside Vortex's control, switching profiles no longer provides a clean copy of the game. Is there a way to have a profile use a unique copy of the game? Specifically I create two copies of the game directory, assign one to a prod profile, and the other as the dev profile? This would allow for unit testing without breaking the prod profile's game directory
Pickysaurus
Provided you save the changes back to the staging folder in the external changes window it should keep it clean. This doesn't account of the junk files some tools drop directly into the data folder though. You'd need to clean those up manually (or put them into a mod inside Vortex). injaku
My current thinking is that I will simply have to use MO2 and it's own copy of the game directory for dev. Not looking forward to learning another manager.
