Who was I?(A courier quest mod)

An idea came to me earlier today that after you order drinks Marcel starts a dialogue with you.

"So ya miss me?"

RE: Who are you?

 

Marcel:"Serouisly? Comon buddy? Im Marcel. We used to hang out together."

 

RE: In case you forgot I was shot in the Head "Marcel"

 

Marcel: "Oh...I thought you were...all better? Ya know?"

 

RE: From a Bullet wound? To the head?!

 

Marcel:"Do I look like a doctor? Yeah I thought you were better!"

 

RE: 1.So what did you want me for?

2.Your...not the smartest guy are you?

 

After picking an option he will say one of two answers.

 

Marcel: 1. Oh right the job

2. Always a sense a humor huh?

"Anyways. You remember....Right the bullet. Well we knew this guy called toothless Jack. He was this crazy Son of a b&@*$ that we used to hang out with. And hes here in new vegas."

 

RE: And?

 

Marcel: "And we are gonna kill him!"

 

RE; What?! Why?

 

Marcel: The asshole tried to kill me and ratted you out to a group of khans who I think are responsible for that pretty hole on your head Amigo!

 

RE: And your sure about this?

A little problem with that.

Benny and the Khans who were with him, didn't come after the player because he/she was ratted out.

It was because your character had the platinum chip.

Benny found out who had that chip after going to Primm.

One of the scientist/doctors from the Followers help Benny to capture and re-program one of mister House's securitrons

And via that securitron(Yes man) Benny got the intel of where the courier was going and how to ambush him.

Well lets say its a quit pro quo kind of thing.

Marcel wants this guy dead and he is about the only guy in the wasteland that seems level headed enough to know anything about your past. I think this suits just fine.

Im still doing work on the story but for the moment I am busy with outside issues.

Okay. So the idea goes that Marcel wants ya to help him kill Toothless Jack in exchange for some information. He also promises that the kill is worth just as much to you as it is to him.

So Marcel tells you where Toothless jack lives and you travel there. It is a small house outside of freeside.It is not gaurded, is run down and doesnt seem to be have much to offer at all.

Upon entereing a woman walks up to you with her gun aimed at you. Then the dialogue opens:

 

Beth: Hands where I can see them!

 

Re: 1. Thats my line!

2. Woah! Okay. Im not here to hurt you.

 

Beth: Yeah thats what they all....wait..Is that..you?

 

Re: ...

 

Beth: It is you! Oh my god! Its been years.

 

Re: Do we know each other?

 

Beth: Your kidding?....How could you forget me?Beth ring any bells?

 

Re: Ive...been shot in the head.

 

Beth: Oh s#*! that was you! Well we knew each other....personally. For a while.

 

Re: I see.... Im looking for Toothless Jack

 

Beth: You mean my brother? Hell if I know.

 

Re: Any idea where he could be?

 

Beth: Well he said something about the boombers...But I dont think anyone can get near them....Wait how do you remember Jack but not me?

 

Re: Marcel told me....

 

Beth: Marcel? I never heard of Marcel. But if hes helping you with your memories, suppose he cant be that bad.

 

Then you must travel to the boomers field. Here you will find a dead body near one of the buildings with a letter. Stating that a Jack turned tail and ran towards Red Rock Canyon.

 

Thats all I got so far.

If you can't find someone to help you with it, it's just wasted words.

Might be better to get help,then tell them your story, and when (if) you have something that is finished, we'll get to know it anyways.

You'll just spoil it for anyone who might be interested in it, and when they get their hands on the mod they have been waiting for, they'll be disappointed.

They'll know the whole storty. And if the mod relies on story, not fancy new items, then it gets dry pretty quick if you allready know the whole thing.

Well first step if you want help for a "mod" is to inspire people to help you. And the forums are a pretty good way to show/share your idées.

And to give people a taste of the story is a good way to inspire.

 

Then if people give you feedback and replies on your thread the higher the chances are that people that are willing to help will see it!

 

lastly stop be so negative, if you don't have anything helpful or wise to say, then dont say it!
