F-ing vortex pluugin tab not showing

I've been at this for literal days now and I am completely out of options. I wanted to play modded skyrim and got the higgs mod(which is basically what makes it worth playing at all) and every time I open it I get a pop up saying the esp file exists but isn't enabled or something like that. I've tried reinstalling, changing files, gone to every forum and nothing. When I go to the extensions tab for gamebyro plugin management it says failed and no matter what I do I cant fix that either, it just always says failed or disabled. Please for the love of god someone help me with this because I'm losing my mind

there's loads of posts about this topic in the forums - with admittedly slightly less swearing. most of them point the finger at security software/anti virus breaking your vortex install. search the forums, see anything that resonates and try the listed ideas and hopefully you'll be golden.

Double click the failed extension for more details on why it didn't load.

 

Much of time it's caused by security software deleting the required files when you install Vortex. Or it'll be the solution here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/12319363-plugin-section-has-disapeared/

Well i feel like the dumbest man alive. Thank so freakin much, turns out i just installed the wrong version of c++. i appreciate the help because i didnt see this forum page
