Need some advice

I have played through SKYRIM once(heavily modded).I love the game.Played a wood elf archer(with touch of magic).

I was thinking of replaying the game .I only have the basic game. I would buy the other parts of the game but.......I have a few questions:

Are the mods that really change the game like SKYRE or others.....a challange to install/run ? Are there incompatability problems with other mods such as imersive armor/weapons and others that I really like.or can it just in install it and go. I have SKSE already installed and can grab the uncapper if I go this rouite.

I would appreciate any suggestions on a senario to follow since I'm sooooo addicted to the bow. Will SKYRE or other major mods change the game so much that I could make another that relies on the bow ? or perhaps you have other suggestions.(yes I'm aware STEAm has these additions on sale so I do hope to hear from some kind soul soon.

Thanks.

Skyre takes to care to install. YOu will need to read everything on the skyre site and take care to follow the instructions.

There is a mod for Skyre called the reproccer, which also takes come care to use, but will make armor/weapons compatible with the game.

Once you have properly installed, it is generally trouble free.

Generally though--the number one cause of game-breaking problems is careless installation. You should take extreme care with every mod you add.

The below might help you.

Also, Dawnguard has some nice bow-related items and quests.

Considering the topic, I might as well ask for a problem I've got with installing SkyRe :

I've followed Gopher's vid, and everything (should'ave) been alright, but when it came to activating the Reproccer at then end so that it applies to Immersive armors and such, I just can't get it the work.

It first started with the fact that .jar files were set to be opened by WinRar. "No problem" I though, and simply went to the java folder to open it with "Java.exe". However, instead of the menu from the video, I get a small black windowed screen that opens and then close. And, it did not patch "ReProccer.esp".

I'm wondering if I don't have the right java.exe (would be my guess, but then where is the right one?) or if I'm just doing something else wrong. If someone can help, I'd truly be grateful!

Well, first off, just a friendly hint--you will usually be more successful starting a new thread for your problem, if you issue is only tangentially related to the thread you are posting to.

Are you using the T3ndo's own reproccer? I am a hige fan of Gopher (who isn't?) but it might help to check what you did against T3ndo's written instructions, just to make sure you didn't miss anything.

I think your idea about the mssing Java is definitely worth looking at. The link above to T3ndo's page contains links to all the files you need.

I did just that and I managed to fix it, awesome! (On a side note, I can't believe I made such a dumb mistake as to not read stuff, I mean come one me, really?)

And yeah, I did thought about making my own thread. Wasn't sure considering someone already brought up installation and such. Next time I guess I'll follow your advice. Thanks for everything :D
