Missing NPCs

Recommended Posts

Walter is the guy from Megaton that buys scrap metal, the reason why he goes missing is because he fall's off the railing where he leans and has a smoke outside near the water building in megaton, there's a mod you can download that makes Walter Essential, he Never Dies and is always there to buy scrap metal!..

I am using it too. When I used the 1.4.xxx. my Vista Ultimate turned Fallout 3 into a nightmare. The Data space in Fallout 3 launcher was erased of all the mods I had listed and only showed the Fallout3.esm after I installed Patch v1.4.xx..

Why?

Is there a reason for upgrading to those patches that would really benefit my game play?

I really prefer to have the day and night visions of the game strewn across my mind, rather then the hang ups: ctds, BSoD's, and Oops signs that occur because Vista Software has acquired something that wants my computer to push the button, you know the one, "That one which reports the crash so they can tell me if there is another patch to keep it from crashing."

well fallout 3 likes a fresh install this is how to do it

install fallout 3

then get every patch 1.1 1.4 1.5 ect

then i installed The Pitt OA BS if you have those

also try of the fake patches too :)

get fomm this makes its easyer to sort your mods out

then i tryed the game worked ok, then i started to install mods one at a time and did a little testing and everthing is working the patches do fix alot of bugs, but they do make new ones as well lol you will just have to do some tests

one other thing most mods now can be fixed with fo3 edit here >>>> http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=637
