DLC mods cause crash

I have all three DLCs - Anchorage, Pitt and Broken Steel - and a bunch of mods. I can play my DLCs, everything is fine, however, if I enable ANY mod for ANY DLC, the game crashes before first loading screen. Be it Cross-Repair for Anchorage or Pitt weapons, FOIP for Broken Steel or whatever extension specifically for the DLC, the game won't run, no error message whatsoever, it just quits. I tried different load orders, disabling/enabling different mods - no go. Please help. Thanks.

Put them into a load order, which you think, is the correct one, using FOMM and use the UF3P (Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch) and run the FO3MasterUpdate Feature on all of your mods. This should fix the problems, as it did for me any many other people.

The more I read about "fixing" this game, the more confused I am. Use this patch if you use that patch, but unpatch to fix bugs from other patch. Use mod B if using mod A, but use mod C if using mod A+B with patch 1, but use mod D if using mod A+B+C with patch 2, but use none if using patch 3 with DLC. Use fake patches, unofficial patches, use FOSE, don't use FOSE. This is compatible with that, but incompatible with something else which is compatible with everything unless you have the PC on the right side of the desk, not the left side.

Instead of playing I end up reinstalling, patching, fixing, studying readmes and browsing forums for solutions. Really, is there any way to play without problems with any mod, DLC and patch I want? OR is there some clear post for lamers to understand how to apply all necessary fixes in what order exactly? Please. I spend time and pay money just to have the game crashing on me every now and then on random basis. #%?$@! The only conclusion I came to so far is to NOT play this game. Driving a forklift with eyes closed is a lot easier than running Fallout 3. LOL.

Reports in this area declare that the 1.5 patch makes it so that old mods for the DLCs don't work because of something to do with having not set some part of their mods to a key called, "Pesistent">

If an NPC is set so it is, "Persistent" the NPC wont disappear or die. Patch 1.5 seems to have invoked a problem which reguires some mod features to be set in that status or the mod wont work.

I recently received an Email from Microsoft claming to be a survey which had a submenu asking for people to beta test stuff for Microsoft.

I turned it down, because the lessons I learned in Morrowind and Oblivion reminded me what some NPC's said every so often throughout the games, "Where's the money in that?!"

Try the 1.5 patch with FO3Edit it's supposed to have some master file update built into it that either fixes crash's or makes them less frequent, you'll wont the 3rd download from the top once at the download link I provided, look for this version FO3Edit_2_4_0_EXPERIMENTAL-637

This thread might have more answers and solutions for you if you have more questions, or look in the comment part for the download as well for answers!..

It is refreshing to see a post that hasn't been repeated a dozen times already.

I checked the links on the forum before I posted the reference noting what I have found out about the key function , "Persistent" in mods causing the situation that was in question.

The posts can be found by typing in, "Persistent" in the search function. Or maybe not.

If you are too tired to hunt and peck for answers you are probably like me and want to play Fallout 3 instead.

I seem able to manage to find the answers to fix my game play problems by reading posts which seem to have the same issue rather than starting a new post every time I find myself stymied by the CTD's and BSoD's, etc..
