henrydossle
Hi, my name is henrydossle. I am lettign everyone know about the series of Tamriel novels I have been writing and am trying to get public knowledge circulating about them. The first volume will be up on TESNexus for download by November/December. I posted about this in the Oblivion>User News Section, but it hasn't seen many views and I'm hoping more people will find it interesting here. Please send all questions/comments to [email protected], or I suppose you could just PM me. I would like to acknowledge Paul 'Simyaz' Thomson as my undying inspiration for the project and would encourage you all to take a look at his work. All of the writing in his mods affected me deeply on a philosophical level and I am his follower forever! Thanks, Simyaz! Now, about the premise----- Six years after the fall of Dagoth Ur, the Oblivion Crisis is just beginning in Cyrodiil. However, Morrowind has problems of its own, as inter-House animosities threaten to turn to open war. Abolitionists are raging throughout the nation, attempting to remove the long-held tradition of slavery. The Imperial Cult and Tribunal Temple are pushing for religious domination harder than ever. The entire country is teetering over the brink of total civil war. So when Houses Dres and Hlaalu fund a Twin Lamps siege on Tel Mora, everything changes. Little do the people know that Morrowind is about to change forever, or that a new regime will soon rise, one that will shape the future of Tamriel. Hope this intrigues you. I stick to the lore as closely as possible, though my series may conflict with future Elder Scrolls plotlines. But none of us can see the future, can they? It may even end up that Bethesda buys my work and uses it AS those plotlines. Please respond, suggestions accepted.
AzirAphale001
This sounds good.I would say to include the Nevarine somewhere as well, if only as a passing referenceHow long are they going to be, roughly?I look forward to reading them. P.S. Kudos for my 1000th post.
henrydossle
Yes, forgot to mention the Nerevarine. He has vanished, along with Kagrenac's Tools. As for length........maybe 250-ish pages each. It really is a large undertaking and the idea I've shared is only the first one. My whole plotline takes Tamriel hundreds of years after Oblivion. Hope this helped. gotxbrains
isn't someone else doing a novel about the elderscrolls world? it was on bethsoft's main page... although i am really glad to hear that someone who actually KNOWS what is going on is going to writing a novel. Hey, do you need an editor? i love correcting people's mistakes >=)
henrydossle
Yes, as a matter of fact. Greg Keyes (wrote a few Star Wars novels) is doing two books for Bethesda. The first one, "The Infernal City" is due for late November. But if he's actually played Marrowind/Oblivion, I'll eat my poo. As for editing, that would be great. You may just get the first peek at my book. I'll send you the finished product.

henrydossle
SAD UPDATE: Hey, gotxbrains. It is not really often that I make a blunder such as this. However, I deleted the message you sent containing your e-mail address. I'm glad you're ready, but I'm afraid that won't help if I can't even send. Re-PM me with it please.
