Cobwebmaster
Well from my point of view you seem to be getting there, and are sorting out rather a lot of seemingly unexpected problems. The new version 46 seems to be doing what it said on the tin - facilitating downloads and removing a lot of major stumbling blocks, so it's well done and thank you for that and for your continuing perseverance However, as an ex IT project manager, this has to be a bit of a disaster for you in terms of how your major upgrade affected service delivery overall. This was an ambitious project and action plan for all the right reasons but I am sure that hindsight tells you that crisis management is something you would prefer to avoid for the future Thank you for all your hard work in disaster recovery and for your continuing efforts to address all the impacts of this change. I can now use NMM to download and update mods. The downloads are still a little on the slow side but you have made considerable progress in addressing such issues over the last few days Edited December 8, 2013 by Cobwebmaster
zedemMonk
In response to post #10474770. #10474825, #10475172 are all replies on the same post. Shouldn't be anything wrong, other than Window's usual B.S. about executable files that don't originate from big publishers who register their products with Microsoft. Also, it sound's to me like it's on your browser that the 'blocking' is occurring which could mean that you are A) using Microsoft's Internet Explorer, in which case there should be an override for that block in the same warning message (but really why you aren't using an open source browser like Firefox, Chromium or Vidalia is beyond me). Or B) you have some over enthusiastic Anti-virus browser plug-in that in similar fashion to MS IE doesn't like it when people choose to use open source software (NMM is open source - and can be downloaded directly from SorceForge). You should be able to override the Anti-virus plugin either on this particular case by looking at the blocking history or by simply temporarily disabling it's plugin while you download the item. zedemMonk
In response to post #10478470. #10479247 is also a reply to the same post. Why would you install your games in Program Files (x86 or x64), first thing I did with steam was to move it's directories to C:Games so that Windows would not throw a hissy fit every time I wanted to modify a file in those games which it would if they were installed in either Program Files directory.
