Themisive
I know that I should learn to write scripts, but I'm trying to find one already written (if possible) to apply to chests so that an item (such as Clanfear claws and Daedra hearts can be replenished. I hven't learnt to write them, or to alter textures and such, as that Wiki "help" seems to be more than a bit convoluted. What I could do with is something along the lines of "Scripting for Dummies" that was produced for Morrowind, and a similar thing for texturing items. The re-texturing of items is something I will need to learn, as I have a really good winerack, but it's only middle-class, whereas I want the same thing in upper-class. What I'm after is something along the lines of the chest in the Mages Guild (in the arch Mage's quarters) that will replenish ANY item that is put into it over a period of time, say 24 game hours. Has anyone got any ideas? Ny the way, if this post is in the wrong section, can it please be moved, thanks.
AzirAphale001
That would be difficult, as the Arch Mages Chest uses a script that references every ingredient (with some execptions) and makes them duplicate. I'm sure OBSE can do this, but I don't think vanilla scripts would work (unless you wanted to write a VERY long script).
Themisive
I see what you mean. However, what I could do with is some sort of script that I can apply to containers that will give me various sorts of item, not normally available outside the main quests. I know that there are various alchemists, but whilst I can grow plants, things like Daedra Hearts, and Clanfear Claws just can't be grown. What I had in mind was a set of containers, each to grow a separate item, but only to be triggered by the introduction of that item to the scrip - that's why i suggested the Arch-Mage's chest as an example. AzirAphale001
That would be a lot easier to do. You just need to take out the bit of the sctipt you need to change the item ID's, then apply the script to the container. I'm not on my Oblivion PC just now so I cna't give you a sample script.
