SNutsburg
I have been trying to get the collections that I select on nexus to show up in my Vortex collections but they never do. I tried logging out and in on both the website as well as vortex but they don't seem to connect to each other at all. I tried it with Stardew Valley and with Skyrim Special Edition. Both games work fine with installing mods into vortex by downloading from nexus and dropping them in but I really don't want to search through 430 mods from the collection I want. I just want it listed so I can go through one by one in the collection. I am running 1.6.14 of Vortex. Any pointers would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. jaydawg55
Not sure I understand what you mean. Do you see the link called 'Collections' in the lefthand side bar or is it not there anymore? It usually appears just below 'Mods' on that sidebar. If it is there, what do you see when you click on it? Is the default 'Added Collections' icon displayed? I am playing Skyrim right now and not using any Collections with that game yet. But I have one in Fallout 4 that displays in the Collections view to the right of an icon that says 'Discover more collections.' In the Mods view it displays as a single line named 'Cross Collection Armor and Weapons.' If I want to review each mod in the Collection one by one, I have to do that from the Collection view. It won't expand in the Mods view.
SNutsburg
I have the collections section of Vortex yes. It has the "Discover more collections" button. When I follow that through and select a collection on Nexus by clicking the "Add to Vortex" button. Which loads for a minute, has the check box, then goes back to Add to Vortex. And when I go back to Vortex, the collection never shows up. I hope that clarified it a bit.
Solution Pickysaurus Posted January 16, 2023 Solution Share Posted January 16, 2023 You're probably using a browser like Firefox that doesn't do protocol handling in a simple way. Here's a relevant help page: https://modding.wiki/en/vortex/users/download-from-nexusmods#i-have-the-option-enabled-in-vortex-but-downloads-still-go-to-the-wrong-appdont-start
SNutsburg
I was using Chrome and tried to do it in Microsoft Edge because it is there. That link you gave did mention turning on the connection in Vortex settings which wasn't done for some reason. That fixed it so thank you!!!
