Need fallout 3 help

k i play fallout 3 on med quality,I could play it on high but i keep it at med just in case,and randomly today my game started lagging like even before getting to main menu it starts,like 4 seconds of normal then goes at 1 frame per second x.x unplayable even on lowest of setting now,ive tried everything.if enyone knows whats going on id appreciate it alot.thanks

Meh, that guide destroyed the game for me, but I was on Vista. :wallbash:

 

If you're on the Vista Operating System you will experience slight lag here and there, yes even down to 1 FPS for a few seconds. Vista isn't a Gaming platform. XP far outshines its predecesor with ease.

 

Now if you are using the Vista OS, you'll need try the tweak guide the guy above offered. The best bet to do, specially if you know you can run it on High, is to "downgrade" to the XP OS.

What game machine are you using?

 

PC with Vista, XP, XP Pro SP1, SP2, SP3; Xbox360, PS3? Home made you built computer, or what?.

 

Do you have the DirectX upgrade installed that was written just couple of month ago?

 

What Video Card/s are you using? Have you upgraded their drivers which was recommended since Patch 1.5 came out?

 

Have you updated the drivers for your DVD drive drivers lately?

 

Have you played the game in standard settings for awhile and than followed up and gotten the LIVE files and folders installed with your online LIVE account? If you have Click Here to read this. Maybe it will help.
