butterlib = 54 files were not correctly deployed..

 

"most likely reason is that the files were locked by external applications"

I think not... Nothing else has them open, just Vortex, nothing else..

 

I'm following a tutorial here to get a diplomacy mod working, which requires 4 other mods.

I encounter this on each and every mod. Initially with Butterlib, which should be the most prequisite file.

could it be because the game and vortex are on an ssd drive, which is exfat??

a reddit post I've just read, suggests that it must be NTFS

 

otherwise the remaining points (vortex existing on the same drive as the game) are all checked.

There's nothing else I can find other than the file system being exfat and not NTFS or fat.. and that's not exactly official.

Try restarting your PC, or make sure the game is closed.

Thanks, it doesn't seem to work though.

I am guessing it's because of the exfat filesystem in my SSD drive. Vortex doesn't like links in there.

For best results when modding, you'll need an NTFS file system on any drives you install games/mods to.
