sniperfodder
Vortex Version: 1.7.4Bannerlord Version: v1.0.39860Windows Version: Windows 10 21H2Mods Installed: ~33 I'm not sure if this is an issue with the BannerLord Extension or if it's because Vortex's program data is on my C:\ Drive and Bannerlord is on D:\ drive, but Vortex is not detecting file conflicts, or allowing me to overwrite previously deployed files. Example: I have the Amazon Body installed, and I also have Hats and Stuff installed. Hats and Stuff has compatibility for Amazon, but it requires overwriting the <GameFolder>\Modules\Hats and Stuff <SubModule>\ModuleData\items.xml using a patch. I have tried setting a deploy order, but nexus loses that deploy order. Additionally, if I install the mods in order (Hats and Stuff <SubModule> -> Hats and Stuff <SubModule> - Amazon Override), it doesn't prompt me to overwrite the file, or setup a rule like what normally happens with the Skyrim or Fallout 4 mods. I verified that the file isn't being overwritten by checking that the symbolic link for the file is still pointed at the sub module's folder instead of the override's folder. Once I manually modified the symbolic link to point to the correct file, the mod loads the correct assets for the amazon body and no clipping occurs. Pickysaurus
Sounds like you need to set the priority from the load order tab, not the mods tab?
sniperfodder
Okay, I would do that, but the patches do not have a listing that shows up in the load order. I've already locked Hats and Stuff main module and sub-modules together, but the patches aren't visible in the list. Edit: I should also mention that the rules menu is empty. I thought Vortex was supposed to intelligently see that when one mod overwrites another mod's assets, that it will ask for a conflict resolution rule? Right now it's not seeing any conflicts, even though both mods seem to be packaged correctly for installation into the same folder. Pickysaurus
Vortex only prompts overrides in the mods tab if two mods contain the exact same file names deployed to the exact same path. I don't currently have Bannerlord installed, but I suspect this is some kind of weird edge case if it can't be resolved by re-ordering the two mods in the load order. Solution sniperfodder Posted February 3, 2023 Author Solution Share Posted February 3, 2023 Did some deeper digging and it looks like the patches weren't packaged correctly for automated install. I'll take that up with the mod author.
