Gomezaddams51
I am having a heck of a time keeping my followers with my PC. They keep getting stuck or lost or just stand there and I have to go back and try and find them. It happened with Serana, yes there is a "Teleport Serana to me" Mod but I cannot get it to work and I got tired of having to find her. The same with the Teleport to Serana Mod, it doesn't work. At least there is a Serana Tracker in the Quest log so I can find her when she wanders. I finally got tired of her and sent her packing. Now having the same problem with Lydia. If I jump off a high place in a cave (usually the only way to get out) or climb down a mountain, she will get stuck and I have to go find her. I need a mod that will teleport her to my character. polearbair
Are you playing on an XBox or for some other reason just don't have access to the in game console command line? Because if you're playing on a PC this is easily done in the console. Let's say I have a follower named Jack. The first time I meet Jack in game I'd hit the ` key to open the console making sure he's standing in front of my when I do and then click on him with the mouse pointer and his reference ID number appears in the top left corner of the console. Let's say Jack's Reference ID is 12345678 Then I open up a new Notepad txt file and enter "prid 12345678" without the quotes and save as "jack" (again without the quotes) saving it in the same folder as the SkyrimSE.exe. From that point on if I ever get separated from Jack all I have to do is open the console and type "bat jack" and hit enter which targets his reference ID and then type "moveto player" and hit enter and Jack is instantly teleported to me. It's so easy I always wondered why follower mod authors bother including summoning spells unless it's for Xbox users or something.
Gomezaddams51
Using a desktop computer. I remember back a few games ago, I did try something like that and ended up with a duplicate character running around. I used the "player.placeatme XXX" code. It created a follower but without all the armor and other things I had given her as a follower. She was basically a new character. I am hesitant putting things in my exe files since I tried that once and totally FUBAR'd the game and had to delete it all and redownload the game. How do you open notepad when the game is running? My game takes up the whole screen.
xkkmEl
Indeed, Polearbair has the right idea: "prid xxxxxxxx" then "moveto player". As for accessing notepad or other programs, I propose two methods: 1) On Windows: save your game, pause it (with tab, or `, or ESC), then use alt-tab to get to the OS. Returning to the game can be tricky, and at least on my setup it sometimes crashes the game (hence the "save first" recommendation!). 2) Enter the console (with `), then type "save dummy.txt 1". Same issues for returning to the game; save first! The second method will give you a notepad opened on the file "dummy.txt" that will contain a lot of information about the state of the game, including all the eight-hex-digit codes you need to use Polearbair's recommended commands.
