Thor.
This game looks so ambitious its not funny, and created by 4 developers. See for yourself. This game truly got me excited. If this is what i think it is, this will be one of the largest universes ever conceived, not to mention endlessly generated, and everything is unique. Not to mention its freaking Star Wars :woot:   http://ca.ign.com/videos/2013/12/10/no-mans-sky-is-insanely-ambitiousOriginal trailer and vgx in its entirety. BlackRampage
http://ca.ign.com/videos/2013/12/10/no-mans-sky-is-insanely-ambitiousOriginal trailer and vgx in its entirety. 2:35 "So that's an imperial star destroyer" Anyway, very ambitious indeed. Hopefully it won't be too ambitious.
Thor.
If its done by 4 developers, usually a small team with dedication is far greater than one without a mind of its own. Heres a interview talking about No Mans Sky. Edited December 11, 2013 by Thor.
Rennn
Erm... Well, I'm not getting my hopes up. Still, Miasmata turned out well, and that was made mostly by 2 people.
Thor.
Hmm you seem to have lack in trust of the developers to deliver. Edited December 12, 2013 by Thor.
Vindekarr
I find their dedication commendable but I come from an industry where I've seen dedicated people with great ideas get kerb-stomped out of business on a monthly, sometimes weekly basis. Determination and dedication are all fine and good on paper but they don't make good products. Pragmatism, solid grasp of engineering and economic theory, and a sizeable budget are far better qualities to have. As Vagrant's signature so rightly points out, an idea is worthless unless you make something of it. And I'm cynical enough that I'd place the game's chance of success around one in ten-thousand or worse. Dedication and determination don't deliver products. Thor.
How do you think Kickstarter works, but this is done with financial support from EA. In any case we only have to wait to find out.

That EA? But... Everything EA touches invariably turns to watered down rubbish that is cut up into smaller pieces to be resold later as DLC. I don't want to have to pay $1.50 every time I visit a new planet, or have to install/use Origins.
Thor.
If you remember Deadspace, it was made in a similar way. I Don't like EA and the way they do Business either, but if they leave them alone to do there own thing, you never know what might happen. Its a small team that made a single game fro the ps3, which was joe danger. So this is a big step for such a small team. Edited December 13, 2013 by Thor.

We'd be seeing about $8.50 a planet based on previous "exchange rate problems"
