New to scripting

How do I view existing game scripts from the creation kit? I would like to see "DLC1DawnguardItemScript".

I have never tried scripting before. In the creation kit I tried to view it, I went to Gameplay<Papyrus script manager, found the script name double clicked on it and I got an error message saying:

Windows cannot find

C:\Games\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\Scripts\Source\DLC1DawnguardItemScript.psc

Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

Am I way off base here on what I am doing?

It is under scripts\src\Dawnguard.

I am sorry I don't think I understand what you are telling me, are you pointing me to the location where the script is located? If so then I already know where it is. What I am wondering is how I can open it up to veiw how they have written it.

Option 1

Open in a text editor like notepad++

Option 2

Copy all dlc source scripts from specific folder to source folder. You can then use the Creation Kit to view the source files and create/modify scripts that use those dlc scripts.

Hope that helps.

Thank you that is what i was looking for. Was not sure if you could just open them up in notepad++.
