batesmotel34
I am having a problem with Blood & Gore (2.13 + 2.14 from theLys site) with Morrowind dieing shortly after I have summoned a creature. I think I've seen it before but it happens very frequently right now with my new character whose sign is the Atronach with wombburn. Unless I have Blood&Gore turned off, Morrowind seems to crash very shortly after iI have summoned an acnestral ghost and attacked it to recharge my magicka. Sometimes the crash occurs shortly after the ghost has vanished due to the spell exprring, sometimes it will crash only if I attempt to summon another ancestral ghost after already attacking the first one. It happens nearly 100% of the time if I have Blood & Gore level at anything above 0. I do not have the exact error message here that Windows displays when Morrowind dies but I think it was an access violation. I suspect what may be happening is that some Blood & Gore effect is being placed on the creature that has already vanished due to the summons expiring but I'm not sure. (Character is a Level 1 - now 2 - sorceror and is using bare hands against the ancestral ghost, so there shouldn't be any significant Blood & Gore effects on the ancestral ghost that I would expect.) (For what ever difference it makes I'm running WinXP/Pro SP2, Radeon 9600 w 128 MB, just downloaded latest drivers from ATI And they don't seem to make any difference in the problem.) For now I'm explicitly turning off Blood & Gore usin gthe spells to do so before summmoining an ancestrassl ghost to "recharge". I belive I've seen the problem with sometimes with other summons as well but not nearly as repeatably. The summon spell I use for recharge has a short duration (under 30 seconds) in case that may affect the issue.
