danielimp
I'm trying to Purge the mods using Vortex, so i can safely uninstall the game. My HardDrive is corrupted and needs to be replaced. I get this error message on Vortex, about the harddrive being corrupted affecting the Footprints mod. The idea is to install Vortex and Skyrim on the SSD, same place windows is installed. And leave the HardDrive empty for the eventual replacement. Is it safe to uninstall vortex, and unninstall skyrim without Purging the mods on Vortex ? Eventually i'll replace the defected HardDrive. SEE PHOTO HERE https://ibb.co/gj1Yfft Thanks for any help i can get. Pickysaurus
The purge operation can't work if the drive is no longer connected. You can update the path to the game from the "Games" tab if you reinstall Skyrim on C:\ for now. You may also be able to fix the mod staging folder path for Skyrim in the Settings tab.
