jjmooney
How do i get a NPC to reach a xmarker in another wilderness cell using portals? They just keep wandering off up the road the long way or through the forest which i don't want them to do.
IcelandicPsychotic
Can you be more specific? Are you teleporting an NPC to a wilderness area, where he should find an Xmarker?

IcelandicPsychotic
So the problem is they're not taking the right path towards the Xmarker? Or they're not going for the Xmarker at all? You could give the NPC an AI package using a GetInWorldSpace condition. Format the AI package to tell the NPC to travel to the Xmarker and set your worldspace in the condition. This would only work if he's not already in the worldspace where the Xmarker is, though. You can set conditions in the "Conditions" tab in the AI Package window. If the problem is only that the NPC isn't taking the right path towards the Xmarker then it's definitely due to the pathgrid. Pathgrids use red and blue nodes. Blue nodes are "preferred" paths for the AI. Roads are pathgridded with blue nodes which is why most of the time NPCs walk along a road rather than cutting through wilderness. Blue nodes are created in the CS by holding down the ALT button while putting down pathgrid points. You can try setting down a blue pathgrid to get the NPC to follow the path you want him to but keep in mind every other NPC will be able to use this path.
