MihaiL
Dear community, I'm trying to update Fallout 4 - A StoryWealth collection to its latest revision (160) from the previous one (159) and every time I start the process it fails with a "Failed to Download collection" and "TemporaryError: I/O Error" messages. What might cause this...? Thank you so much!
Pickysaurus
An I/O error is a hardware fault. When Windows (via Vortex) is trying to write a file to the disk, it's being told there is a hardware error.
MihaiL
Yes, that is correct. The problem is that I've tested with several other mods which aren't included in the collection and their installation worked just fine and the mods are active in the game. When i try to update the collection (archive file) it returns the mentioned error. Every other operation works just fine (Read/Write) on and from that SSD. Pickysaurus
Maybe take a look in your fallout 4 downloads folder for the Collection update file and delete any versions of it that might be corrupted?
