Kalorean
Hey Guys, I am getting increasingly frustrated trying to start a 'Morrowind - REBIRTH' session. I am using the STEAM Version as the base game. It is installed on the same SSD as my Vortex installation and my MOD folder, wherein I have set up the Vortex download/staging folder etc. I am using Win10 Pro x_64, 10.0.19045 Build on an AMD TR 2950X with 128 GB DDR4 3200. I am using Vortex 1.7.8 for my current modding attempt, but Vortex keeps beating me on Rebirth. All mods I have downloaded from NEXUSMODS so far keep getting installed properly, but for Rebirth, instead of installing Meshes/Textures etc. properly into the 'Morrowind/Data Files' folder as it is supposed to, it creates a 2nd 'Data Files' within 'Data files' and puts it therein. If I just manually copy the content into the proper folder, I have to let it overwrite nearly 4000 files, which messes up the Vortex structure further. If anybody could help me with that, it would be much appreciated! Kalorean
Pickysaurus
Unfortunately that mod is not structured in a mod manager friendly way. You will need to manually adjust the file structure before deploying it.
Kalorean
Tyvm for your quick response @Pickysaurus! Can you clarify for me what you mean by 'manually adjust before deploying'? Do you mean to manually copy and paste the files or is ist possible to adjust that within Vortex somehow? Kalorean
Pickysaurus
In Vortex, after the mod is installed you can disable the mod, then right click and open it in the staging folder. From there you can move the files around so they're formatted properly (relative to "Data Files") and then enable the mod and deploy.
Kalorean
TYVM, I will try that out!
