huntsman2310
So, I'm working on a mod that -eventually- will be about adding new and unique semi lore-friendly armors into Skyrim, all of them associated with or featuring in quests that tell a story. Companions will also be added with this mod, and one of them, is the subject of this post. http://i.imgur.com/aKzfbhQ.jpg?1 As you will see with the first Nifskope image she is essentially Korra from Legend of Korra. So the problem I have is that the armor does not show up inside the Creation Kit. It's completely invisible. I've made the armor addon for it as well as the boots, and the thing is that the male version works completely fine. Everything shows up. It's only the female version that's invisible. The male one shows up both Nifskope and the CK just fine. http://i.imgur.com/ZNA4GTr.jpg?1 And within Nifskope the female one shows up without any issue at all. http://i.imgur.com/aKzfbhQ.jpg?1 But once I get it inside the CK, it completely disappears. http://i.imgur.com/jtRllCq.jpg?1 I have no idea why. I think it might have something to do with the actual mesh itself, being that I did delete a part of it and rotate and scale a few other parts. As far as I know that shouldn't cause any issues like this to come up. Does anyone have a solution or suggestion?
Terra Nova
It's supposed to give you an error when it does that. I've had that happen a lot but I'd need to see the error so I'd know how to fix it. But as an off shot check your BSLighteningShaderProperty, and compare it to a vanilla armor. Same with the "body" portion(the forearms?). Check if Vertex Colors is not needed but applied in the property anyway. (I think you check for vertex colors in NiTriShape) If it says vertex colors no, but the flag is set in the Shader Flags of BSLighteningShaderProperty, just remove the flag. Also what 3D program did you use? I don't know about the male skeleton, but the female skeleton has an annoying tendency to import into Blender corrupted. And when you export, it's all screwy in the CK. You have to keep deleting and re-importing it over and over again until it comes in "clean". huntsman2310
I used 3DS Max to import the mesh and do a bit of work on it before exporting it with the same settings back into Nifskope. I did notice that on the original nif all of the bone files for the skeleton were still there but on my exported nif they weren't. That could be the problem.
