Oblivion takes too long to start after I tried to add a dialogue to a custom NPC

Basically you need to create a new dialogue, copy the content of Shady Sam's dialogues and add the proper filtering, for example put your NPC's in a custom-made faction and the faction belonging in the filtering. After this of course you need to add the topic throug a script.

I 'm not sure if I made myself clear. I want that NPC to tell you what Shady Sams tells you when you get close to him and also greet and tell you goodbye the same way that Shady Sam says.

My custom NPC is already in the same faction. It's just an alternate version of Shady Sam. All I did to create him was edit Shady Sam and change the base ID.

You made yourself clear and I gave you the proper instructions. If you want to give your dialogue to 1 NPc use GetIsID in the filtering.

 

The dialogues will be silent but at least your mod won't conflit with other mods if you don't edit the vanilla dialogues.
