Why the HELL do mounted rieklings have to be so f*#@ing op?

Playing wtih immersive creatures, as a consequence, I keep running into these stupid pieces of s#*! all over skyrim. I'm level 10, and I'm a light armor character, meaning these things can two-shot me, and it takes me at least 20 hits to kill them. Just now, I saved before fighting some. Now when I reload, I'm immediately in combat with TWO OF THEM. I can't defeat them no matter what I do. My entire playthrough is probably ruined now. I can't kill these stupid things, and because of where my save is I have no way to escape from them. I've been having to avoid the 'cold' regions just to stay away from them. These though I ran into on the road to Riften.

These stupid things are making it impossible to play the freaking game! What am I supposed to do as a level 10 light armor character against level 20 monstrocities that hit me for half my health???? I don't see anyway i can even continue this playthrough. I actually quit playing for a month just because I got so fed up with them. Here I am again, questioning now why I'm even trying to continue to play this game. f*#@ mounted rieklings. They should never have been in the game in the first place. They're op and glitchy as s#*!.

The stats are set to vanilla. Disabling them through the MCM doesn't remove the ones that are infront of my character. Worse yet, I decided to select one of them in the console; ITS LEVEL 40 AND HAS OVER 1000 HP. Wtf? Each of those things has the stats of a dragon! Wtf am I supposed to do about that? I could run, but I'd have to leave behind my follower which is carrying all my loot.

Worse yet, I don't have a save that's close by. I keep 5 saves at a time. However, when I'm walking down the road I just save over my previous one over and over to keep all five of my saves from just being me walking down the road. This means my 'previous' save is all the way back in freaking Markarth! Yes, I walked THAT FAR. I made brief pit stops in Whiterun and Windhelm to see if I could buy some ice wraith teeth. I didn't stay in either city for long, which is why I decided to just overwrite my saves from those. I also disabled autosaves to try and stop crashes. Fml and f*#@ these stupid level 40 npcs!!!!

I'm aware I can do that, but I'm highly reluctant to use console commands in a serious playthrough. Honestly, either way, the whole damned playthrough is cursed. I wasn't able to become thane of the rift because I had picked up this random miscellaneous quest in windhelm that had nothing to do with riften at all. It took me days just to figure out which side quest I had that wasn't letting me complete it. Also, my skills are out of balance. My light armor is only 29, even though my two-handed is 48. Everything's hitting me harder than they should, though only these stupid mounted rieklings have been giving me serious problems (though I have been running into this gigantic 'tundra spider' that I clearly don't stand a chance against, strangely though they seem to have stopped spawning).

Also, on a side note, followers are useless. They charge in battle regardless of whether you want them to or not, they don't retreat with you, they run into traps, they're just stupid as s#*!. I rarely play with followers because they're essentially just dogs with SLIGHTLY better stats. The only reason I'm using one now is because I'm doing Legacy of the Dragonborn and I need more storage space.

On another note, why has no one made a mod to nerf these stupid mounted rieklings? They hit far harder than they should for their level, but NOBODY has addressed that. I've never encountered an enemy as op as those things, even with freaking mods! And yeah, this one that spawned is level 40, but honestly I couldn't handle the level 20 ones either. In fact, I didn't noticed at first that anything was wrong because even the level 20 ones are THAT broken. I mean, according to the UESP they have by far the highest damage boost in the entire game! I'm seriously playing with elemental dragons and EVEN DRAGONS ARE A CAKE WALK COMPARED TO THESE STUPID MOUNTED RIEKLINGS.

I need to just abandon this playthrough for the FOURTH TIME, tweak the load order yet again, and start all over again, probably after waiting several months. Stupid f*#@ing game.Yeah, this is sorta the fault of a mod, but all its doing is SPAWNING IN A STUPID OP CREATURE THAT WAS IN THE VANILLA GAME, I STRUGGLE TO BEAT THOSE DAMNED THINGS EVEN AS AN END-GAME CHARACTER WITH ALL THREE CRAFTING SKILLS THEY'RE SO STUPID BROKEN. f*#@ bethesda.

Decided to peek inside of immersive creatures. Apparently, it spawns all the mounted rieklings at LEVEL 1. Wtf? Apparently the dragonborn esm does too, but at least it doesn't put them on the mainland! So the stupid mod is spawning level 40 npcs starting at level 1 on the side of the road. Wtf? I thought the Monster Mod was supposed to be the imbalanced one?

Either way, I see no way to salvage my playthrough without either using CHEAT CODES IN THE MIDDLE OF A SERIOUS GAME, or backtracking over 2 HOURS OF PLAY TIME. Complete bs.

Either way, the damned mounted rieklings hit far too damn hard. I've had those things seriously one-shot me with an endgame character with over 400 hp and max armor and resistances. Wtf? Why has no one made a mod that nerfs the things? Seriously. Even the ebony warrior is an easier opponent to these things they're so over the top ridiculous. SOMEONE FIX THESE THINGS. Guess maybe I could do it myself, not sure what to set their damage to, but anything would be better than OVER 2000 POINTS OF DAMAGE AT MINIMUM TO ONE-SHOT A 40 HP CHARACTER WITH MAX ARMOR.

Well, I managed to find my own solution. I climbed onto a rock that the mounted rieklings couldn't scale (though it took a few attempts to find one). I've used this technique against giants, so I figured it would help here. I managed to kill the damned things and continue on my way. On a side note, apparently I wasn't that far from the riften watch towers, so perhaps I could've lured them up there to get the guards to help me. I also bought some light armor training in riften so I could get the 'custom fit' perk. Yeah, it won't help much, but its better than nothing. For the time being, I think I'll be avoiding eastern Skyrim until I get tankier somehow. Thinking conjuration may help actually, or get myself a follower who actually has heavy armor and a shield (right now I'm running around with Valdimar). Anyway, I can continue with my playthrough at least. Stupid mounted rieklings are still op as s#*! though.

Yeah, not sure why they're that overpowered. I get that they're a DLC enemy, and that you're supposed to go to Solstheim when relatively high level, but they're a menace. Someone failed at balancing out their attack damage versus their health - It wouldn't be as bad if they hit like freight trains, but could be taken down about as fast as they can take you down, but instead, they're like tanky, hard-to-hit dragons.

On the flipside, yeah, I remember that bit of "fun" from Immersive Creatures. "Let's dump enemies on the map with no care whatsoever about the actual level scaling of the world." I ended up ripping the mod out because, well, these tanky turds are put in places that they don't belong.

Basically, only two creature mods I use these days are "Animals are not Monsters" which makes most wildlife less likely to attack (Which is a blessing and a half when you just want to make it to a city with a load of loot, and you know that all those bear, saber cat, and wolf pelts are going to overburden you), and "Werewolves Occurring Naturally" which puts werewolves in the predator spawn lists so you actually see some outside of the Companions Questline (which pairs well when dealing with Moonlight Tales, because getting beaten up by werewolves can lead to certain lunar afflictions if not treated quickly enough).

Stuff like Immersive Creatures can be good, but... I'm wary of anything that puts DLC content on the mainland, because Bethesda has the balancing skill of a toddler standing on a ball. Which is to say - They don't know how to balance their DLC versus their base game.
