How to move to bug report again, after deleting from bug report?

Recommended Posts

To be fair, I didn't even expect it to copy over responses to the comment. It might be worth locking the comment itself and continuing the conversation as a bug.

The entire bug report system is being replaced in the semi-near future so we're not likely to make any changes to the current implementation

By semi-near, do you mean a year or multiple years time?

And did you seriously just answer my support ticket? I thought you weren't sure? (use of "IIRC") made me think you weren't 100%.

I am thinking after resolved just republishing new since this cannot be resolved (or just remove I am so frustrated), now I know I have to be careful with bug reports (but I don't like that option so much either). I am also a patient person I have held out months to years on things. If I can expect a workable bug report page in about a years time.

But this over year old mod is a component of multiple mods of mine, so the tends to be the foundation of troubleshooting (but I like to discern a user just troubleshooting vs. a real bug). Without properly structured bug report page, comments and missing bug reports or messy bug reports would just look like the mod isn't properly cared for and is just flawed.

If deleting mods because of nexus' mod interface set up is flawed and republishing once the bug is solved, at least I can say it is a improved generation and bypassing a buggy broken report system. The mod has changed and restructure so much that without proper reporting via updates and bug log, it could be perceived as just a mess of a mod (even though it really only had 2 confirmed bugs and 3 medium bugs all three related and in this daymn thread I can't move!).

If your system has been used for 5+ years and you haven't had enough upset feedback about it like mine, just know it is because in previous real life my work—internal record keeping and a form of internal auditing was pretty much the entirety of what I did. So I feel this system is really unprofessional if considered a working component of your site. But maybe to the average modder it doesn't matter, but a company should have more self pride over their product.

(Note, this is not a criticism to the individuals, hard working employees and volunteers on nexus, it is more a criticism to professionalism and representation of the product left flawed for years with little to no intent to correct. There is a certain level of quality people expect, and that mark was missed here.)
