gmoney549
Can anyone help me find where in CS or Tes4Edit I can go to change the gold cost of enchanting and spellmaking? Edited June 29, 2023 by gmoney549
RomanR
Well, there are two game settings which should affect the entire cost of enchanting or spellmaking - "fEnchantmentGoldMult" (default value is 10) and "fSpellmakingGoldMult" (deafult value is 3). You can find them in Construction Set under menu Gameplay->Settings... You can try to edit them directly or using script. For scripting you will need two commands - GetGameSetting (GetGS for short) for reading and SetNumericGameSetting to change them. Second one is a OBSE command. I'm inexperienced in this area, so it's propably all help I can give you.

Oblivionaddicted
The enchantments for the equipments use the Constant effect barter factor in Gameplay -> Magic effects. This setting determines the cost you have to pay for each percent of the enchantment and the additional value of the enchanted object. A worthless equipment remains worthless when enchanted by the way.
RomanR
It seems this is really as OblivionAddicted say - after some tests I found that editing these multipliers doesn't have any effect. I'm sorry for misleading post. But as "Constant effect barter factor" is a part of every Magic Effect, it can be difficult to work with it, as you're beginner (but not impossible). Oblivionaddicted
The cost of a weapon enchantment is the consumption of charges for 1 use x 10. I don't know if you can change it.
