Malchik
I believe that they do deseve respect. I find peregrine's laughing at the dead very disrespectful and sad. For it was but an example<{POST_SNAPBACK}> The topic was, unless I misunderstood, does a person merit more respect after they are dead than when they were alive. As I have already pointed out that does not happen. If we respected someone when they were alive we will still respect them and vice versa. If anything makes us change our mind it is because we learn new facts, and hearing these facts we would change our mind whether the person was alive or dead. Indoril N, it seems far more important to me to respect the living (if they deserve it) than to treat them cavalierly while they are alive and show respect only when it is meaningless to them. Indoril Nerevar
I think you should show respect to all people as well. I have a "bill of respect" of mine. People (no matter who) have my respect no matter what they do, but I always have a minimum respect level. If they go there, they still have my repect about space, privacy, and all other human rights, but that is nearly it. Cheers to you Malchik (Indoril Nerevar commands all of the daedra worshipping him to turn around and bow to Malchik. Indoril also raises a chalice of dog blood to Malchik which he [indoril] drinks.) Adras
I think that the people who deserver respect after they are dead are the people who made our life better. Such as Thomas Edison for creating the lightbulb we use today (The first lightbulb made, not by Edison, was not a uccess, but it was the first). Or Leonardo De Vinci, who helped us understand the human boy better. Or Mr. Toliet Creator who made a conventional way to rid us of our waste (Along with Mr. Septic Tank Guy and Mr. Plumbing Man). People like that deserver some respect, but they shouldnt hog it all.
Akrid
When sombody died fighting for a cause they should earn respect, however people tend to only respect those who died for thier cause, for exsample terrosist may die for a cause they belive to be honorable but we wouldnt respect them for it, and rightly so (as the english say it).
