iriemk Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 I've been reading up on the issue of changed timescale, which affects numerous things in-game, namely weather mods, quests, radios and a host of other things. I really do hate the 1:20 vanilla timescale, so I'd like to know if there's any way to safely change it or to patch the mods/ vanilla gameparts that are affected by such a change to my preferred 1:10 or 1:6 scale; weather mods are not the priority (if it's patchable, I'll consider True Storms again though), but broken quests and silent radios I don't need. So anyone with a little more insight into the game's inner workings, I'd appreciate having some knowledge dropped on me.
Drivinghard Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 I'm not a modder, but i also thin that 1/20 timescale is a fruit loop way out from left field and absolutely insane..on my previous 2 forks of a 28 month playthrough i played with 'set timescale to 1' almost all the way through and those ssd's are PERFECTLY playable as we speak i can swap in those ssd's and Launch them all ..In this NEW playthrough when i am in workshop mode i set timescale to 1 .. BUT i have started when i am NOT in building mode to set timescale to 6 :)I just got my Artillery working and if you are planning to use that on a launch of a save file.. make sure to not use set timescale to 1 or you will wait eternally for artillery fire :) .. but when you are finished your artillery attack you can swith back to timescale to 1 .. if you prefer..other mods which regulate Settlers time off for example can be affected of course by a different timescale.. but i doubt whether this will contribute to save file corruptions in any way at all .. just do not ever go BELOW 1 or use a negative value :)

ArmoredTroll Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Ancient topic, but I'll just add that I've played both Skyrim LE/SE and Fallout 4 with the timescale set to 5 for over a decade without issues. I was curious what exactly goes wrong if I were to set it to 1? I've been playing Cyberpunk 2077 for years at the 1:1 time ratio and enjoy it, since I desire as much realism in my games as possible. I'd like to do the same with Fallout 4 (and Skyrim SE, whenever I decide to drop back into that game).
