But, it would hiccup from only a single enemy going aggro, so I don't think that was the cause. In any case, I've since started and completed another playthrough without issue, so I've wrote it off as a random "Bugthesda" bug.

Thanks for the reply, although I don't use Malwarebytes. I've since started a new character, and haven't encountered the hiccups again, yet. So far, I've tried a couple things, like turning down some of the settings in some heavily scripted mods, like the baby making mod. I assumed maybe having settler NPCs constantly being pregnant and popping out babies might've been taking a tole, seeing as my settlements were getting over 40-50 settlers each. Anyway, I'll see what happens this time, since I've turned the maximum population down and limited how many babies NPCs can birth.

Hello there, I'm having an issue that causes Fallout 4 to lag/pause/freeze/hiccup for about half a second every minute or so. It just started today on a character I've been using for over three real days (72 hours) of gameplay. I've already tried restarting the game and my PC, with no success. I'll share my load order, let me know if anything else is needed.

Hello there. I would like a mod that disables kill moves, like seen using the Mantis Blades. Or alternatively, have the kill move only trigger on the last enemy. This is to keep the player from being shot to pieces while giving someone the old stab and lift hug with the Mantis Blades. Thanks, friends. ^_^

I decided to just write it off as a random Bugthesda issue and start a new game. That was the first time I've ever encountered that bug, in over a combined play-time over 10,000 hours between both Skyrim LE and SE. Thanks, for the assistance.

Thanks, for your continued assistance, but it looks like that mod only shows friendly factions ranks. The another possibility I thought of is that I joined the Dark Brotherhood with this character, where's normally I just kill Astrid outright and destroy the Brotherhood instead. My normal playthroughs don't have this friendly evil faction issue. I've also noticed wolves no longer attack, as well.

Thanks, for the reply. Sadly, "tdetect" didn't work. How do I check my factions? I've already tried removing myself from the bandits/vampires factions as well as their ally factions.

After many hours of gameplay on one character, random bandits and vampires are no longer hostile. No matter what camp or dungeon I visit, neither of those two factions attack me. My best guess is it involves "Redwater Den", since it seemed to start after I entered the lair. Nobody would attack me, even if I hit them first.

Fallout4prefs.ini was the culprit. As soon as I moved it from the folder, everything's peachy. I've no idea why, however. But, thanks for the assist. Kudos, to you. :thumbsup:

Hello, yes I have. But, nothing improved. I figured it must be the Windows 10 update, since it was the only known change on my PC from yesterday, when it was working fine.

Fallout 4 no longer starts at all. With or without using the Script Extender's launcher. I'm wondering if the latest Windows 10 update is causing it. All I get is a black screen, then the task Manager shows Fallout 4 as "Not responding".

I'm just glad I thought to give it another look, before I did my usual method of just deleting the game. :laugh: Also, I understand the need to share the fix. People that don't do that can go eat a boiled boot. :devil: Y'all take care. :happy:

I figured it out, somehow my refresh rate setting located in my NVidia control panel lowered itself to 30Hz. I set it back to 60Hz and now everything is fine. I blame Windows.

I went to bed last night with no issues with Fallout 4, I woke up today with a stuttering/trailing low framerate on my 50" 4K 60hz TV. I've tried a few things so far. 1. Made sure Fallout4prefs.ini had iPresetInterval=0. It was at 1, but changing it to 0 made the fps skyrocket to the hundreds, but the stutter was still there. 2. Limited fps to 60, but the stutter was still there. 3. Disabled VSync with no improvement. 4. Enabled VSync with no improvement. 5. Scoured Google looking for assistance, but didn't see anything other than what I had already tried. 6. Tried playing other games to be sure it was an issue confined to Fallout 4, it was. I'm out of ideas, I just want the game to go back to the way it was before, liquid smooth 60 fps @ 1080P. Thanks.

Greetings, I'm having an issue while wandering Skyrim with stuttering/pauses during gameplay. I tried searching Google for remedies, but to no avail. I've included screenshot of my load order and will try to add a couple from "Skyrim Performance Monitor". I suspect one of the mods is being a memory hog, but don't know which mod to axe.

The Frost Atronach and the Storm Atronach just stand in place after summoning them or encountering them in the world. The Dwarven Sphere is also just standing still. I've tried running FNIS without results. Tried disabling every mod without results. Verified game cache without results. Reinstalled FNIS Creature Pack without results. (Edit) I found assistance for this issue on the "other" site. I removed "Billy's Animations" without also removing the "behavior" files that FNIS created with them.

Hello, I'm currently working on a silly little mod that adds "Raid Bosses" to Skyrim. I need to know how to make them play boss music during combat using TES5Edit? (Edit) I figured it out. Just add the keyword "ActorTypeDragon" to their record using TES5Edit.

I'm unable to sprint most of the time. I've tried a few things already. 1. CAPS LOCK. 2. Checking to make sure sprinting is still bound to the left bumper. 3. Unplugging and replugging keyboard/Xbox 360 controller. 4. Tried various stances like equipping weapons or spells. (Worked sometimes.) Any ideas? Thanks for reading.
