How to have Vortex scan and update from mods folder?

A friend sent me a bunch of mods to download in a zipped folder and I extracted them all into my Stardew Valley mod's folder, all gotten from Nexus. However when I open Vortex the Mod section hasn't updated with the new mods that are in the folder, only the ones I had before. How do I get it to scan the folder to update so I can manage the mods?

Vortex only recognises mods it installed by itself. However starting the game via SMAPI will give some tips on how to update mods added manually
