simon62821
Here's the problem.Whenever I insert the disc into my disc drive, the disc doesn't show in My Computer. I've been looking at several threads, but nothing seems to work. I've tried inserting the disc while in safe mode (enabled networking), tried disabling User Account Controls temporarily, but all have the same result. Please note that my computer is Windows 7. ~Simon
M48A5
Could you be a little more clear as to what is the problem? There is no GFWL Disc. GFWL are the initials for Games for Windows Live. Fallout 3 GOTY is on two discs. The original game on one and all the DLCs on the second.
Nimboss
If this is is about what I think it is, the DLC disc is packed with one single huge file. When inserted windows try to scan what it is and since it is an .exe that takes minutes before it let you access or see it in file explorer. I think within 5 minutes you should be able to access the disc. Don't try to push it when waiting. Longer than that you might have a faulty drive or disc, sorry in that case. This has been up on nexus fallout 3 a couple of years ago. Some had terrible problems some none at all. Probably depends on computer, DVD drive, release of DVD, moon phase and definitively how urgent you want to install it.. the more you want to install the more it will start to fail... bben46
This was a known 'bug' with the 2 disk FO3 with GFWL - As I remember the problem was the second disk took a very LOOOng time to do anything - as much as 20 minutes. Bethesda tried GFWL before steam for Support - it didn't work out very well. Just as the later FO:NV with steam, you could get a DVD version - then you were supposed to register through GWFL. simon62821
I have two discs, disc one and disc two. Disc One doesn't work, and I've left it in my drive for more than two hours. I tried inserting Disc Two, same result. Edited January 3, 2014 by simon62821

EvilGeoff
I'm going to ask the obvious question since no one else has - Does your drive read other disks OK? If your drive is working, then the disks are bad. If you bought them used, it's entirely possible the previous user FUBARed them. If it was purchased new, contact Bethesda for replacements.
