kleinstaff
well a few weeks ago i started playing skyrim again after a long break and guess what i still enjoying this game again like i did in the first year and behold i even found 2 places near winterhold i had never visitedd before If a game can still excite people 2 years after it launch it must be good the console version of the game pays for the next development but it is the modding community that makes these games such a succes lets hope people at bethesda know this aswell
chanchan05
I just hope they don't port a console game into a PC the next time. Maybe the other way around would be better.
KKrueger
I agree with both of the above. They really need to make these games from PC to console, not the other way around. I did a similar thing, kleinstaff. I took around 6 months off and returned to the game. The great thing about the mods is you can add so many different locations and other items, it's like playing a new game. I'm a big fan of the new lands and cities people add; they really expand the game no end.
HeyYou
Since Oblivion, they have been using the XBox SDK to develop the games. Technically, its "easier". Don't expect a game designed specifically for PC though. Beth gave up on that quite some time ago.
Lord Garon
Yeah, I'm afraid we're stuck with console ports from now on; its all about the septims and consoles own the game market. Just maybe, the common console hardware will improve things for AMD based PC's, at least. May have to make another Linux box out of this Pentium machine and get me an APU if things work out for AMD. Just have to see if they can make the best of their current "opportunity".
RatcatcherOfKvatch
Finding new stuff, there's a polar bear and quicksilver ore vein past Haemar's Shame before the Alchemist's Hut, right where the mountain trail enters into Riften from the west it's a barely-noticeable track heading north into the mountains that loops counterclockwise and drops you off nearer to Haemar's. If you're low enough level it's a heck of a challenge [for Lydia anyway] and a rare chance to trap a common soul. There's cool unmarked stuff like that to be found all over the place in the gaps between map markers. I'm sure there are still things I haven't stumbled across. Moshadawg
Yep, the Elder Scrolls series as a whole is the best game series in my opinion. Even with all of its strange bugs it is still the best. I've probably got about 500-600 hours invested in Skyrim (if not more) and I still enjoy it thoroughly. Probably got to be around the same amount of time in Oblivion as well. There's just so much stuff to do and cool little things to find, and you can always start a brand new adventure with a completely different kind of character. It's when you start hardcore roleplaying that it gets really interesting... creating a backstory for your character and giving him a personality and morality that he follows. This is how the game is meant to be played in my opinion.
