Naminea
I have to agree, but even with no armor you can still get a more "natural" armor instead. All races have there own special things, for exsample a arigonian can breath in water (or just has a really long breath i dont remember.) This piticular race could have a dromatical inceased endurance to sustain itself in combat without armor. granted this will also give the race the ability to carry alot more weight, but sence this is a mythiological creater that is said to be super human i dont see the down fall to any of the things you have listed LHammonds. I believe the biggest issue you might incounter though would be how a sword would fit on the race, sence it wont really utalize the skeleton, you may run into problems with claymores and shields being on your back or even swords at your side. But do not let this bring you down, try your best and who knows maybe it will work
warren2500
Here's two suggestions: The Soqui race: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20802Children of Hircine: http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/image.php?id=24420Those are good. But i was thinking more like a permanent race that you could start with.
warren2500
It should be noted here that the difficulty with custom races is that they all need to share the same skeleton and animations that other humans / NPCs use because of the way the game engine was designed. Even though there are model-level differences, the Orc / Human / Elf / Argonian races all share the same skeletal structure and animations. You would not be able to create a hunched-over creature as a race that reacts like you'd think a half-man / half-wolf would react. They would move the same as an NPC when walking, running and fighting. Granted, there have been many race mods that make convincing alterations but there are limits to what you can do. That's why you do not see people as dinosaurs, spiders, fish, etc. In the end, there would have to be a compromise to fit the human skeleton...much like how the Lycan Bodysuit was done. When I worked on Lost Paladins of the Divines, I initially had the werewolves as NPCs but ran into the problem that they just looked and sounded like guys in suits. I had to make it into a creature and utilize Xivilia and Spriggan animations to give them a more animalistic demeanor. There is also the issue of the custom-sized model needing its own set of clothing and armor since none of the stock items will work. That will be a LOT of work unless you simply said "no armor or clothing" will be allowed....which would limit the fun factor quite a bit. You'd have to have something to counter the lack of using 5 armor slots. No matter how you try to implement this, there will have to be hard choices made, compromises and a LOT of effort put in if you are going for quality. LHammonds I noticed the problem when i read this. But the Hybrid seems to be the best candidate for a face. It has the same type skeleton as all the other humans. It could use the same type of armor and weapons. There is this one demon race which has a battle transformation spell. Could the samething be added to the hybrid. It could look all human until one uses that spell to make resemble the picture. When it transforms it could loose the armor but gain strengh, speed etc. That should be easier than the other two dont you think?
warren2500
So i have been thinking about this and i think i should drop the other two away and just go for the Hybrid. Just want to know is there anyone else who agrees with me about having a Hybrid race?
SavageArtistry
Here's two suggestions: The Soqui race: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20802Children of Hircine: http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/image.php?id=24420Those are good. But i was thinking more like a permanent race that you could start with. Are you quoting the wrong person? That's what both of these are. Soqui is a race but the animal feet are equippable items I think. Children of Hircine I made myself using the Soqui as the starting point. Both of these races start off just like any other - you start your game, scroll through the races until you get to them, and then customize however you like. Yeah i quoted the wrong person sorry about that. But i gave up with the other two races after i saw those what you made. So i will go with the hybrid. To see if anyone would be interested in it. Freddy_sp2003
YES! This is a brilliant idea for a mod, I have always enjoyed any mod that forces your character to transform, leaving you with more of a challenge to face... I like the idea of the hybrid vampire off of underworld but that theory should only be applied if your lycan character is infected with vampirism...would be neat to adapt to a hybrid transformation. And if a vampire is infected by a lycan, the exact opposite...sounds neat.

I just thought that you would start off as hybrid but to be a Vampire and being infected by a lycan sounds like it would add more fun into the game. That is a very good idea. Tis could become a god mod if someone would choose to make it. But is seems that they aren't either interested or ain't got time. Too bad
