UWWUT and T3T WeaponTweaks: Compatibility?

Hey there, y'all.

 

I've been investigating the two excellent mods "Unique Weapons With Unique Textures" by Drag0ntamer, and "T3T Weapon Tweaks" by The 3rd Type. I really enjoy the new textures supplied by UWWUT, and I also like the weapon attribute tweaking and new models that are added by T3T. However, I've noticed that these two mods seem to be completely incompatible with each other. If I load UWWUT last, all the weapons have the new textures, but the attribute tweaking is completely absent from any of the weapons.

 

Likewise, when I load T3T last, the tweaking is there, and the textures/models added by it are there, but that mod does not add new textures to many of the weapons that UWWT does, and these are, unfortunately, absent. I don't really know a thing about modding, so I don't know how much I'm asking here, but optimally I would like to be running T3T, with all of its added attributes, textures and models, while at the same time to make the weapons that it does not retexture have the textures added by UWWUT.

 

I'm...not sure how clear I'm making this. If you can figure out what I mean, and you think you might have an answer for me, I would very much appreciate the help!

You could make a compatibility patch yourself: get fo3edit, open both mods in fo3edit, r-click on T3T on the desired weapon, click copy as override into..., select new.

Name your new compatibility mod (Say, UWWUT - T3T).

Go to all the desired weapons on t3t that you want to make compatible and copy them to your UWWUT - T3T file.

 

Expand UWWUT - T3T, and for each gun, drag & drop the model and texture parameters from UWWUT to UWWUT - T3T

Okay, I'm having some trouble. Mainly because I'm a complete n00b at this. I've managed to create an .esp with all of the T3T weapon parameters, but I can't figure out where the model/texture parameters are, or how to copy them from UWWUT to my new .esp file. Any hints, anybody? A screenshot would help hugely.

In the right panel, when you select a weapon, you get a column for each mod that modifies that weapon (all in pretty colors, the colors are actually the way of fo3edit to tell you what conflicts are there).

One of the rows is the texture or model, somewhat easy to spot because vanilla and T3T will have the same value, and UWWUT will have a different one (should be the only thing that's like that). To copy, just drag & drop from UWWUT's column to your esp's column.

Yeah, at this time UWWUT is only focusing on texture replacements. It does not have T3T support. Been focusing on just getting the textures and WMK support so you can mod the weapons and still have my textures. A possible patch might be made in the future but I do not have any current plans as I have a lot of work to do.

Well, I had the right idea. I guess I just couldn't find the right row to copy. I think I've got it working now, so thanks heaps for helping this incompetent noob.

 

And thanks, Drag0n, for making this awesome mod to begin with! Freakin' Bethesda, making their unique weapons so boring. Your textures are fantastic, and I'm glad I can finally use them!
