SunnyDelight
Hello to anyone willing to help me. Iv never had this problem before but I'm working on a ui overhaul for new vegas and for some reason the game is not picking up the files I make what so ever! I have tried .wave and OGG files still no progress. Tried different bit rates and so on. Am I missing something really obvious here? Please help! I have successfully replaced the title screen music, death music but nothing else is working!
MBile
so these are only replacers? So I assume you have been putting them into the correct folders. IE Data/Sound/fx or voice and renaming them correctly and having the matching file format types. Not sure about the sound bitrates. i dont think that should be a problem. SunnyDelight
yeah they are in the correct places and files. any chance it is the file size? my new files are much larger. it just seems the game engines is picking them up but not playing the sound...any ideas? MBile
Older games used to have file size restrictions. I guess the FO engine is old by now standards so youre idea seems logical. I would make a few test batches of your sounds using different export settings and find out if any of them work. not sure if that helps
Polyfemus
I'm not sure if this'll help either since I haven't done much sound file stuff but could the Skyrim Audio Convertor tool help? I've seen it used for some NV mods but I'm not sure what file formats or settings are required. You'll find the tool in the Skyrim Nexus after a quick web search. Polyfemus
Could you tell me what export sound settings, file formats, etc you used to get it to work? I'd love to know for later on. I'm glad it worked out!
