Cyberpunk - Vortex doesn't recognize mod updates

Whenever I install a mod update Vortex does not recognize it as an update but treats it as a new mod and reports a conflict with the old version.

I then have to uninstall the old version to fix it.

It behaves like this in 1.9.3 and the version before or so, it worked in the past.

Any idea how to fix this?

This is usually caused by the mod author not uploading the file onto their mod page correctly.

 

If they don't mark one mod file as an update of another, Vortex won't know for sure that they're intended to replace each other.

I did have this in the past for some mods, especially if the mod authors included the version in the mod name.

But currently this happens for all mods I update.
