mattman079
I've recently begun modelling for skyrim and I've made a few basic helmets for my character and I'm just wondering. How do I install nifskope or niftools onto my 3ds max 2012? I've downloaded the files from here:http://sourceforge.net/projects/niftools/files/nifskope/1.1.3/ I downloaded the .exe and ran it but nothing happened. I've also noticed there are several other files in that source forge packet. Do I need to download those to? Thanks in advance for any help I'm a bit of a noob to this stuff! ghosu
You need the NIF plugin for 3dsMax, NifSkope is a standalone tool.http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/5622/?

ghosu
The original game files are stored in .bsa archives. You can extract meshes and textures.bsa located in Skyrim\data\ using FO3 Archive Utility.
