File problems

Hello I am trying to download mods for balders gate 3 and I am having trouble getting them to work. while trying to figure out the problem I notest in the setting the mod staging folder goes to the games folder but all of the files are empty. I went to my game folder through steam and everything was in the folders. I am very confused on how to fix this issue to get my mods running.

The staging folder should not be set the to game folder. Set the staging folder somewhere on the same hard drive that is away from the game (the "Suggest" button may help you here).
