Favored weather/lighting combos that work well together.

I haven't been able to find a combo that works well in SE unlike in LE. I used the STEP guide but I don't care for their choices so I'm looking for alternatives.

Hmm...so many interactions to account. For me, I use a variety of mods that alter the environmental "experience", but some of the more directly related mods that I use for weather/lighting would be

 

Skyrim is Windy

Windy Grass

Real Rain

Real Clouds <<< wow... I can't say enough about this one. It's visually "transformational" for sky features

Dynamic Volumetric Lighting and Sun Shadows - note: author apparently hid mod and now provides reference to improved mod...

... Enhanced Volumetric Lighting and Shadows (EVLaS) - I don't use (yet) so don't know but presume it's better.

Realistic Lighting overhaul

Shooting Stars

True Storms - Thunder Rain and Weather - note: looks great, adds richness, but my 6G video card can't handle the content, so is disabled.

The Imaginator - for direct adjustment of color tone, brightness, contrast, etc. I sue use it for fine tuning.

Interior Exterior Brightness - for locale based "global" brightness settings (dwelling, ruin, outdoor day, outdoor night)

 

YMMV. works for me, I'd provide a few compact snaps as examples, but Nexus doesn't allow me to upload images to the site anymore, so that's not happening.

Also, I happened across this along the way. it seems to encapsulate both Imaginator and Interior Exterior Brightness, as well as dynamically responding to different environments (indoor outdoor, cave, time of day. etc)
