I'm not sure how to catch the ending of furniture use, but removing footwear before meditating seems proper for everyone even without high heels.

Just an idea. The carriage is an activator. On activation it is disabled and a custom chair is put in its place and the player is ccaused to sit in it and player controls deactivated. The custom chair has attached what looks like the interior of the carriage including a side with a window opening. The entire contraption along with the player moves along a set path. When at the destination the chair is disabled, a carriage is enabled and the player is placed beside it and control is returned to the player. You might look at the beginning carriage ride to see how they do that.

Followers Will Not Use Linked Doors
greyday01 replied to Skybroom's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
Has the navmesh been finalized on both doors? Is the yellow marker that shows the teleport location moved away from the door itself, on both sides? Have you tried making the green triangle a bit larger and make sure the yellow marker is within it and away from the door? The bottom green triangle seems a bit small and both yellow markers seem too close to the doors. Inspect the navmesh on both sides to make sure there are no double lines or other irregularities making it so the NPC can't reach the door triangle. -
For MO2 you might watch this series of videos by Golpher Was written for Mod Organizer but the basics are the same. This vieo from GamerPoets is also good I really like MO2. I find it more understandable than Vortex and quite easy to use. For making mods it is great. All of a mods assets are kept in a separate folder with the mod's name so packaging it all up into a mod for uploading is easy. Half the work is done for you. It is also easy to open up a mod and look at its contents to see exactly what is in it.

Best way to learn Papyrus scripting?
greyday01 replied to greyday01's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
Thanks. I might look into C++. The text book is a couple hundred but I could audit the class for free. -
I've created some simple scripts but much of the language I haven't has cause to use. Mostly it's trial and error to get something to work or simply making small changes from an existing Skyrim script. Is there some more systematic way to really understand this without any formal training in computer languages? I'm old enough to be able to monitor classes at my local university for free so I suppose I could do that though they don't have classes in this language. I DO enjoy scripting but I would like to be better at it.

Help please, my shield plaques stopped working
greyday01 replied to Bebesop's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Try watching some creation kit shield rack tutorials. It might be a positioning problem for the activators that the racks need. Check that the activators aren't at 0 degrees rotation and that they are out a ways from the wall so you are able to activate them with your mouse. Those are some of the most common problems. Try fiddling with one non-working display and seeing if you can fix it. If it is with ALL the displays it might be too much of a problem to manually fix them all. If so can only suggest looking for a different mod or waiting for a fix from the author. -
Creation Club Breaking Mods, and Other Noob Questions

Most mods work if installed mid-game. Only a few won't and this is usually in the description. -
Reduce marker size on map

Atlas Map markers has an MCM to adjust marker size. Have you tried that mod? Or look at how they did it? -
SkyUI not working & New ENBseries update???
greyday01 replied to Indio21's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Don't worry about the enb your game will continue to work with the older version. You might check the version number for skyrim.exe. It recently got a new version and Steam installs it without asking or informing you. If you have the latest skyrim update you would need the newer versions of SKSE and the address library for SKSE mods and probably any other SKSE dependent mods. -
A Fix for All Plugins Disabling after 1.6.1130
greyday01 replied to Pickysaurus's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Go back to Skyrim LE. They don't pull this BS for that version. You might get some crashes to desktop occasionally, I don't my game is stable, but at least you can use the game. -
Skyrim SE Update (1.6.1170.0) - 17 Jan 2024
greyday01 replied to Pickysaurus's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Do the masters need to be cleaned again or is it just a matter of getting new versions of every mod that needs SKSE? -
It's too late for me. I just got updated today. But a question, if I had kept a copy of skyrim.exe and the creationkit.exe somewhere and just pasted them back into my game would that have worked to continue with my old version?

Skyrim SE Update (1.6.1170.0) - 17 Jan 2024
greyday01 replied to Pickysaurus's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Damn. Up to today I kept my 1.6.640 version. I hate all this stuff. I also disliked all the CC mods. I would never have installed them voluntarily. I have never and will never upload a mod to the CC or download a mod from them. Why, why, why are they doing this to us. They never even clean their masters, fix all the things the Unofficial patches fix, fix their buggy quests and scripts, and they pull THIS on us. For WHAT?!!
