BlazeStryker
Hawk eggs. Pine thrushes. Rock warblers. WHERE THE HECK ARE THEY?!? The hawks lay no eggs in this game. Nests have rock warbler eggs or pine thrush eggs but you never see either actual bird. This will never be fixed by Bethesda, so don't even bother looking to them for a fix. They went on to introduce Bloatflies for FO4 that "fire their larva at others" but have no larva in the game. And even when they finally put in pheasants that aren't just hanging pheasant breast containers, THERE ARE NO EGGS AND NO NESTS!! So, back to the topic title: In the name of completeness (and common sense) could someone please fill in the gaps?
IsharaMeradin
Hawk nests could simply be out of reach of where the player character is allowed to go.There are flocks of birds that get startled and fly away. These could very well be Rock Warblers and / or Pine Thrushes. Unfortunately, this particular aspect does not get seen very often in the game.Birds and Flocks SE increases the number of Hawks flying about and flocks being startled. Perhaps, it will be a start in the 'right direction' for you.

Perhaps, it will be a start in the 'right direction' for you.I'm a "roamer" and spend quite a bit of time crawling around in the way up high areas both within and outside the official play region... fwiw I find most nests either at or near ground level, or up a "level" or two from the ground on "overlooking cliffs", rather than in the very high reaches one might not be able to pursue if they don't disable borders. Probably 2/3 of the eggs I collect are from up in the mountains in areas that (I suspect) would be considered "difficult" to get to. (it's a nice reward after spending 5 minutes scaling a difficult slope. As are the remote ore outcroppings that occasionally show up in the upper reaches where I'd bet few players ever venture, either thinking they're unscalable, or just not even considering their existence since they're not required for quests) But yes, outside those few flocks that suddenly appear then disappear as quickly as they showed up, we rarely (if ever, I don't think I've seen anything other than a gull) see any birds perched on nests, outside gulls or whatever the big one are called How is "Birds and flocks" when it comes to script loading? I installed something like that a long time ago ~1.5.80 time period, (name sounds familiar) and my system bogged down, and I had to uninstall
IsharaMeradin
I know not how that mod plays. It merely came up in a search of Nexus mods and sounded like it might help the OP a little when the description was read. We can spin the head cannon on these critters as much as we want to make them fit the observable. Or as the OP wants to do, change the observable to fit the head cannon. Either way is valid. BlazeStryker
There's a spawner fix for things like birds and especially bug mods overloading, it's part of DEEJMASTER's Mods, Tweaks, and Fixes compilation. I still doubt the vanilla existence of actual Pine Thrush and Rock Warblers but I wholeheartedly recommend the many, many small adjustments the DEEJ has compiled into those three files. (I have found Hawk Eggs... in Chanterelle!)
