Maharg67 Posted January 9, 2014 Author Share Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) Game EpicOne 1.1[1] Dinosaurs and Dragons Game Observers noted the teen-adults still semiconscious in the large cave, partly open to a small valley through a grilled opening. The thirteen teen-adults had tough outdoor clothing, webbing of pouch dotted belts, boots, caps and other gear including fairly large backpacks packed with extra gear and supplies. They woke with sunlight coming through the grilled opening, the grill being of carved rock, and to light coming from glowcrystal that grew across the ceiling. They awoke to the shuffling movement of a big dinosaur just on the other side of the huge grill window. Aasha took out her digicam and took some digital recordings of the big Stegosaurus and shook her head in wonder. Then she slipped the camera away even as she stood slowly to her feet, picking up the pulserifle as she did so. Like the others her mind was muzzy. Like the others she could 'sense' the presence of all thirteen teen-adults. She mind-spoke to the others. "We have a dinosaur scratching its hide against our grill window." "Everybody needs to scratch." Aaron stood up and looked around at the big cave chamber. "At least its a herbivore." Aasta examined her playerband, on her left wrist. "Basic game adventure; we have to survive, make our way through the dinosaur mazes of caves and valleys, collect certain items, kill dangerous dinosaurs if we have to, destroy monsters and get to the next Game Gateway. "Might only be a herbivore but that Stegosaurus is still damned dangerous." Aasla came towards the triplets, being the leader of the thirteen. She was trying to look the part of a strong, worthy, leader but kept yawning tiredly and then looking annoyed. The triplets were there to support her, to guard her. She stopped, holding her pulserifle, and mind-spoke. "When we get to the end of this game there is a good chance we will get leave to go home for at least a month. I suggest we look around for natural, and game, resources." Others were already doing so. Aavat, Aarar and Aavio were busy gathering fruit from some large, thick, bushes. The fruit went into thin, strong, carrybags. They would be tested but they were already identified as safe game typical food. Aanaa, Aabaa and Aakaa were investigating a fast moving, but fairly shallow, cave river of clear water. Aaona, Aaomo and Aaolu were staying with the backpacks, were acting as backups to the others. It was all old procedures and had all been done very many times before. Had they played Dinosaurs and Dragons before? Perhaps but they were not sure though the muzziness had left their minds. All they did really know was that they wanted to go home and stay there. Except that they had lost active direct contact with the Gamelords. All they had was indirect contact through the Playerbands that gave them limited instructions and hopefully helpful information. It was all most frustrating and yet they had not been able to think of any real solutions to the problem. The thirteen ate the fruit along with foodbars and drank tested water taken from the cave river along with stim-coffee. They were all aware that while they had some time to prepare, in that place, that the longer they remained there the more dangerous it would get. That was true in any place they stopped at. The idea was to pressure the Prime Team to keep on moving, to keep active and entertaining. There was only one exit from the cave chamber so it was not hard to work out what direction that they had to go first.
