RatcatcherOfKvatch
I just had a conversation with a follower where I was getting really impatient after telling her to move (she was blocking a doorway, like they always do, and there were conjured creatures and I think Esbern too and nobody wanted to move despite me using the sprint key to try to shove them out of the way. Tempers were flaring and I was growing increasingly frustrated.) Anyway I was batting out menu commands faster than the game would allow, which an average nursing home patient would do given how laggy the follower interface is, and somehow I stumbled onto a follower option, "Let me show you what I want you to do." I noticed it while I was still mashing buttons and unfortunately cancelled it before I could experiment. So has anyone ever used this, what can you use it for, and how do you get to it? Deleted2993601User
Aim at your follower and press the e button on your keyboard to make them do stuff. It's a hotkey for the menu where you speak to them normally and selecting that option. If they're in the way, just fus ro dah them away if you know that shout. Konig91
Or use the mod ''Get over here''. Google it.
RatcatcherOfKvatch
So this is a shortcut to the "I need you to do something" menu conversation option when not in conversation? Is there a hotkey to trade items? That would be so cool ...

aemaethcold
As for followers blocking the way, many mods fix that. From the very simple "Move it dammit" which is self explanatory to the "Amazing Follower Tweaks" (aka AFT), which features several ways to deal with Fusrodah-tast dummies. EgoAltar
In addition to the suggestions above, for a "real" follower (i.e. not Esbern) you could always instruct them to "Wait" while directing them somewhere out of the doorway, then instruct them to follow once you are past them.I have frequently re-cast summons in a different place to get my atronachs, familiars or Dremora out of my way. RatcatcherOfKvatch
The second lesson of Conjurer school is "Summon Familiar: the Best Way to Deal with a Rogue Atronach". Works for door-blockers, too. Using Expel is just showing off. As for "Let Me Show You", no one here seems to have gotten it right, but I have no idea yet how it works, either, despite managing to make it happen a second time, so I can't really complain.
