karlinsky
Hello , My name is Ariel Karlinsky and im a big fan of Morrowind , so , after finishing allmost all the quests in Morrowind and Tribunal(Currectly raising money to buy BloodMoon) I made a very logical choice , Mods!So , I entered this site from the offical Elder-Scrolls site and went to MODS , there , I downloaded the "Lost Heir" mode and i'm stuck , right at the begining , I think its probably becuase im STUPID.I took the main quest to find the missing agent of the blades who went to Khull , I arrived there and was told that the agent left and that the last person she spoke to can be found in the local gathering place(some kind of tavaren or something)....As soon as i got in I was told that the man was murdered by a Wood-Elf in a red robe , asking about the "Wood Elf in Red Robe" the people of town . they all told me he went to the water or something , now comes the problom . where the hell is he????? I searched everywhere!! , on nearby island , in the nearest Dadric ruines , In the Sea itself but that cursed "Wood Elf in Red robe" is nowhere to be seen! Please help a STUPID player like me..... P.SSorry for any grammer probs , My native language is not english.
Chaosmaker
You may have a problem. But I found him to the right of the tavern. After you exit the building turn right and he should be behind one of the buildings.
Adras
*Warning, long explination ahead for Karlinsky or others who are stumped.* First off, welcome. Its nice to see new prey, erm members here ^_^ Anyways, I have not played the mod so I couldnt tell you the exact location, but since you have mods, I know you have Morrowind on the computer. I'm going to give you a short tutorial, and if you already know how to use the CS, then I'm sorry. So load up your construction set and click 'Data Files' on the top toolbar. Then check Morrowind and the 'Lost Heir' (I'm guessing that should be the name) and make the Lost Heir the active file if you are going to change anything. Then wait for it to load (if your computer is slow, then it might take a while) and once it does, there should be 3 windows. The smallest one is the cell window (should be in the lower right-hand corner) and should be split in two. Ignore that one for now and the big grey one too. The window on the left should have many tabs on the top and somewhere on there you should find 'NPC'. I dont know how many people have figured this out, so it might be a help to others. When you click on the NPC tab, it has all the NPC's in Morrowind, (Tribunal too if you loaded it, which is probably un-nessecary if the mod doesnt need it) and the Lost Heir mod. At the top there are several categories such as 'Name', 'ID' and a few others. The ID category should be on the left and the one to the right of it (right next to it) should be 'Count' or 'Number' (I believe it is count though). If you click on that, the objects (NPC's) will rearrange to how many there are in the game. There will be a lot of 0's, then a ways down there will be some 1's and so on. After the number, any NPC that was altered from Morrowind or that is from the Lost Heir mod will have an astrick ( * ) after it. Look down the list until you find some with the *'s. Most of them (unless they are guards) will have a count of 1. On the right side of the list it should say somewhere the race (I believe it does, I work with static and doors more then NPC's). Look for any Woodelves with an * by the count number. When you find it, you can either place him in the town (that would probably be classified as cheating) or right click on his name and click 'Info'. There it should tell you exactly which cell he is in. When you find that, keep the info window up and go over to the cell window from before.find the correct cell in the left side of the window, then in single click on it, then go over to the right side and find his name by clicking the 'Type' category then finding the NPC area. Then when you find him then double click on his name and it will take you right to him in the grey window. If you have any questions, post back or PM/email/IM me or someone else. You can find a tutorial online, but it might not tell you what I just explained. I hope that helped. P.S. You are not 'STUPID', 'Stupid' or even 'stupid'. Not even 'OMFG I'M SUCH A DUMB @$$!'. It is something that happens to everyone all the time. Dont degrade yourself =) Edit: Sorry, this took so long to type that Chaos posted before I got my thing out. But he gave you your answer. Just use my thing if it ever happens again.
Kevin Woodman
You can also use what Adras is talking about to find other items, like weapons and stuff, sometimes however some things aren't placed in the game but are given through dialog or scripts, in that case it takes some disecting to figure it out, or sometimes it's on a NPC like the amulet of mark. and many items are in containers, which the info will tell which containers, and then info the container to find where it's located, most common containers are used a lot, but most that are used only once have something unique in them, actually i didn't notice any grammer problems, but i only know two languages, English and Bad English.
