doesnt just limit the behavior to how oneself would like to be treated but to a point where every action must be run through an equation which must result in the ongoing prevailance of mankind...

ask yourself, if mankind could survive forever if every other human would do/say the same thing...

Nah, I think "tolerate" is a better word here. It's less subjective, but more practical given the basic human need for some conflict. We don't all have to like eachother, we don't all have to get along, but we can still be civil. With a word like "tolerate", you still allow for conflict, and open hostility, but limit it at a point where that conflict is minimal enough so as not to raise objection. But yeah, dancing around the line without crossing it is something which many have trouble managing, so probably isn't advisable unless you are willing to accept the consequences.

Well, to be honest, I've never read them(sorry about that). I just use my common sense. Apart from necroposting one topic when I first started out here, I've never done anything wrong (as far as I know, the mods can correct me on this if I have).

To be honest, I haven't actually read the rules, but rather, I've skimmed them. As Halororor stated above, it is mostly comment* sense. I am careful when posting, and I always am sure to ask a moderator or someone of authority before doing something I am unsure about.

 

*EDIT: That typo above wasn't intentional. It was supposed to be "common sense." But, it works so I think I'll leave it. :P

Um . . . Since moderators usually visit this "Forum Rules and Strikes" often. (You saw how many members banned for breaking the rules ? Awesome job, keep up the awesome job.) Why topic in this section is so rare besides the "member being banned" topic ?

 

Edit : While moderators maybe often visit this "Forum Rules and Strikes" often, but not many members visit here. So I want to request to move this to Official Polls. I know that's for few selected members only. I just wondered if that can't be done.

I've read the rules and know most f them. I've forgotten some over the few years I've been around here but I use common sense. I'm not afraid to get banned because most of the mods here know me. I'm a fairly active and productive member of the nexus and several of the mods know I'm level headed. There have been a couple people here who tried to push my buttons and I ignored them so people know if I do get mad it's usually for a good reason. I'm an active member on several forum boards and I troll all of them but the nexus is my home. You know what they say, "Don't crap where you sleep."
