gbux
So, Ive modded my game a bit, and in the last few days the game will now CTD with no exception thrown, or will just freeze, between every 15 minutes to hour. Its very frustrating. I used BOSS to check out what problems I have, and I think I sorted it all out. I also used TES5 edit to clean the dirty mods. What gets me is it isnt anything I do that makes me crash. sometimes its in a dungeon(i think, ill get back on this) . sometimes its outside. sometimes its in combat, sometimes im just riding along. Im running an ivy bridge i5 Oc'ed to 4.4g and i have an evga 670 ftw card with 32 gigs of corsair ram Heres what BOSS is telling me now. These plugins are recognised by BOSS and have been sorted according to its masterlist. 14manj01
Ok. Start by doing this, deactivate all mods and run just skyrim and dlc and see if that works. Keep adding mods until the problem is found and testing. Its what i do.
gbux
yea figured it would come to that. i guess i should make a new game then. ugh alternate start has spoiled me. ill have to listen to ralof...
14manj01
Instead of starting a new game, get a clean save off the nexus near your char level and use it. Don't really need to compromise as the Thieves guild has a facial reconstruction shop.
Gamio
Are you using a lot of high-res 2k-4k textures? I have a pretty big mod list (150 active plugins) and would have a lot of CTDs and errors in general when I was using 2k-4k textures myself due to the 3.1GB VRAM limit. I used Optimizer Textures and resized them all (except the water textures) to 1k... and my Skyrim became very stable in both exterior and interior cells. Can't really even notice a difference unless you walk right up on the texture. But besides that my mod-list has been thoroughly checked for compatibility. Just a suggestion. also: Instead of starting a new game, get a clean save off the nexus near your char level and use it. Don't really need to compromise as the Thieves guild has a facial reconstruction shop. Or you could just open the command menu with "~" and type in "showracemenu". But that wont help with your level though. Also: Ok. Start by doing this, deactivate all mods and run just skyrim and dlc and seeif that works. Keep adding mods until the problem is found and testing. Its whati do. I've found that the best way to mod-test personally is to DL a clean save (after Helgen preferably) then do the following:start command line with "~" and type the following commands:-tgm = godmode (just incase)-tcl = toggle collision (can fly and go through walls)-player.setav speedmult 1500 (super fast speed while moving) Doing this will help you to run through cells around the map (inside and out) and test to see if you get any crashes and/or errors. You can also put this into the command line "coc xxlocationxx" For example: coc whiterun Will teleport you to Whiterun's location. Hope these help.
